FAQ
Workout Recording
Do I need an Apple Watch to use MyGoal?
Yes, MyGoal's workout recording features require an Apple Watch to collect heart rate and GPS data. The iPhone is primarily used for viewing and analyzing your data.
Do I need to carry my iPhone during workouts?
No. Apple Watch can record workouts independently and will automatically sync to your iPhone when finished.
Why wasn't my workout saved?
To filter out accidental recordings, workouts shorter than 60 seconds are not saved.
How do I record goals and assists?
During a workout, tap the "Goal" or "Assist" button on your Apple Watch screen to record them.
Data & Sync
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is encrypted and stored in your private iCloud.
How do I enable/disable iCloud sync?
Open the App → Settings → iCloud Sync. You can toggle it on or off at any time. Your local data will be retained when disabled.
Does workout data sync to Apple Health?
Yes, workout records, heart rate, and GPS routes are automatically written to the Apple Health app.
What if my Watch and iPhone data aren't syncing?
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and they're within communication range. Opening the iPhone app will automatically request a sync.
Permissions
What permissions does the app require?
- Health data (read/write heart rate and workout records)
